The Festival offers workshops in Argentine tango, milongas (Saturday with live orchestra and tango show), tango cafes in the afternoon, practicas and a relaxed get together of tango dancers in the the middle of the Finnish summer. We have workshops for beginners as well as for experienced milongueros. Tampere is a about 175 kilometres north from Helsinki, easily accessible by car, by train or by bus. Tampere is also well connected with Finnair, Blue1, Ryanair, AirBaltic and Wizzair.
The Amigos del Tango summer festival is becoming a tradition: this year will be the tenth one; with around 140 participants in the workshops from all over Finland and even some foreign participants - we have also visitors who just join us in the milongas.

Workshops
Each level has 12 hours of workshops in their own level and in addition to that some workshops together with other levels. You may also take part in two levels. The camp starts 21.7. at 16 with enrolments and finishes 24.7. at 19. According to the teachers´ schedules you can ask for private lessons as well. There is also a practica room available.
Groups
There workshops will be five grops:
level 1 beginners, no prior experience needed, you can also use the level to refresh the basics.
level 2 you know salidas, ochos and basic giros, you have danced for about a year.
level 3 you master giros and your own balance, you are able to interprete music and use adornments without breaking your dance, you dance regularly twice a week.
level 4 you are sure in your role as a leader/follower, you can keep your balance, improvise freely and you understand the moves of your partner, you want to improve your style and technique and explore different possibilities, you dance regularly at least twice a week.
level 5 master class, you control the balance of the couple, you can lead and follow untypical changes of tempo and directions.
Prices
The price of level 1 is 150 euros, level 2 180 euros and levels 3-5 200 euros. Combination of two levels 1+2 255 euros, 2+3 275 euros, 3+4 and 4+5 295 euros. Participation requires the membership in Amigos del Tango. Annual membership fee is 20 euros for those living in Finland. If you are not a member yet please ask more details when you register.
We have a limited number of participants. You can come to the camp for a shorter time, only if there is room. If you take part in two levels you will have about 30 hours of teaching and the longest days will have 7,5 hours of workshops.
Location
The camp takes place in Varala in Tampere (www.varala.fi), about 175 kilometres north from Helsinki. Accommodation possibilities from floor (bring your own sheets / sleeping back with!) (15 euro/night) to single rooms (72 euro/night). A shared double room 42 euro/person/night).
Registrations
Registrations by 30.6. We take even couples in the groups. You can register without a partner but your registration is confirmed only when the next single leader / follower balances the group. Milonga pass - if you do not want to take part in the workshops but rather come to dance you can by a ticket to the afternoon + evening milongas for 50 euro.
22.7. Milonga - the big summer tango ball
Saturday night milonga will be the biggest of the milongas. Milonga starts at 21 in Konsu, Hämeenpuisto 28, Tampere. For non-participants the entrance costs 20 euros. Teachers´performances, live music by Orquesta Soledad, recorded music by dj Antti Suniala.
