Brigitta Winkler, a renowned tango-teacher living in Berlin, is bringing her unique, holistic workshops to El Ático on May 18–19. Her workshops are carefully structured to immerse dancers and gradually work towards success throughout the weekend.

🌿 The Summer Tango Camp is aimed for dancers of Argentine tango. There'll be workshops at four levels: beginner, improver, intermediate and advanced and also a group for double role dancers. 🌿 You're not dancing tango yet? No worries! On Saturday and Sunday we offer a full beginners course on Argentine tango with an introduction lesson on how to dance in a milonga – this is a great way to start this wonderful hobby. Welcome to join! The beginners' course is taught by Seita Keloluoto & Ari Sirén. 🌿 The teachers for the improvers, intermediate and advanced classes this year are Jessica Stserbakova & Somer Surgit from Estonia, Marjo Kiukaanniemi & Timo Hakkarainen and Maria & Pasi Lauren. 🌿 The double role group is taken care of by Malin Backström from Sweden (B-level for experienced dancers) and Meeri Friman (basic level A). 🌿 You may register at the camp either with a partner or alone. If you register alone, your spot at the camp will be confirmed if/when a suitable partner pops up among other registered participants. In the double role group no partner is needed. At all classes we recommend to rotate partners but naturally you can also practice with your own partner if you wish so. 🌿 You can join the camp either with a all-inclusive FULL PASS with workshops (1 x 60 min and 4 x 75 min), milongas, sauna sessions, accommodation and meals, or with a CAMP PASS that includes all the same except for accommodation and breakfasts. 🌿 The camp program: www.kesaleiri.tango.fi/en/ohjelma 🌿 There will be four milongas: evening milongas on Friday and Saturday at Solvalla hall and day milongas on Saturday and Sunday at Nature Centre’s Haltia hall. Music will be offered on Friday by DJ Jaana Hänninen, on Saturday by DJ Ville Hiltula (day) & DJ Daniel Valenzuela (evening) and on Sunday by DJ Emma Murros. 🌿 After the classes on Friday and Saturday we enjoy Solvalla’s fine lakeside saunas. Due to the limited size of the saunas they are only available for participants attending the workshops, teachers plus camp volunteers. 🌿 For those living in Finland, participation at the camp requires membership of Amigos del Tango (except for the beginner course and milongas). Participants coming from abroad don't need to be members. You can join the AdT association here (annual fee 25 €): tango.fi/liity 🌿 The camp is produced entirely by volunteers working for free, with the exception of fees for maestros and DJ’s. Welcome to beginners' lessons of Argentine tango, or attend to intermediate or advanced lessons! There are regular lessons in the El Ático dance studio, plus there are several teachers and associations around Finland that organize classes.

Music is played from ready-made neo/nuevo/alternative tango music lists. Come to talk to us if you wish to play your music! Practica is a tango practice session. All dancers from beginners to advanced are welcome! It's a good idea to come with a partner, to ensure role balance. Price: practice fee of 5 euros or the pre-paid season fee. No cash, payment to bank account or MobilePay (you'll find instructions at site). Practilonga is open for all members of Amigos del Tango association, and those who are not members yet can try it out once.
