Double role training camp with Andrea and Sandra 10.–12.7.

Both new and experienced double role tango dancers are welcome – the content of the course will be adjusted to meet the participants' needs and skills.

We'll be studying and exploring the basic substances of tango:

• confidential axis – for easy movements

• circle of energy – for the most comfortable contact

• perfect connection – the whole amusement

• the helix – we never walk alone

• who is leading? – just have fun!

  
  

In other words, we'll focus on how we can dance together in a relaxed way in both roles.

We will base our exercises and investigate

• the parallel and the crossed system

• classical steps and their rhythmic variations 

• alterations to investigate the exceptions

  
  

In all movements we'll pay particular attention to a good contact in a gentle embrace, clear impulses from the leader and a perfect interpretation of the follower. At the end of the weekend we'll be able to change roles within the dance flow.

Roles and partners will be actively changed during the classes: we'll share experiences, supporting everyone's efforts to become better dancers.

On both mornings we'll have a gyrokinesis class by Sandra. Gyrokinesis is a movement method especially suitable for tango dancers: it gives the body more lightness and grounding.

We'll also have time to relax and lots of fun hanging out, having sauna, swimming, eating and dancing together for the whole weekend!

Our venue STEP is situated by a lake and easy to get to by local train from Helsinki. Meals are included and you may also book very affordable accommodation. We'll be dancing in a spacious hall with wooden floor: step.fi/kaski-sali/
