Slava Ivanov Tango Weekend 13.–15.3.

A tango weekend in Helsinki, from March 13th to the 15th

Workshops with Viacheslav Ivanov (Slava) and a Saturday milonga with DJ Jani

All workshops will be connected by one main topic: "Turns and circularity". The focus will also be in technique, connection, and dynamics. A more detailed description of the lessons is below.

To participate at the workshops, residents of Finland need to be members of Amigos del Tango association (membership fee 2026 paid).

Program:

THURSDAY 12.3. – Preparty Milonga (El Ático weekly milonga), DJ Slava

FRIDAY 13.3. – Classes requiring no partner

- Class 1 – 18.00-19.20 – Techniques.

- Class 2 – 19.40-21.00 – Musicality lecture (Phrasing, Intonation and following the Melody).

SATURDAY 14.3. – Classes for couples

- Class 3 – 17.00-18.20 – "The Path of Ocho". (Evolution of Ocho). Native way from Ocho to Shared axis turns. Variations of Ocho, different accompaniment etc 5. Part 1

- Class 4 – 18.40-20.00 – "The Path of Ocho". Part 2

MILONGA Saturday 14.3- 20.00 – 01.00 DJ: Jani

Price: 15 € ADT-members, 20 € non-members

SUNDAY 21.9. – Classes for couples

- Class 5 – 14.30-15.50 – "Musical Boleo". Boleo and Rhythm.

- Class 6 – 16.10-17.30 – "Musical Boleo". Boleo and Accents.

Sunday AdT milonga starts at 18.00. DJ: TBA

Prices:

- 1–3 classes: 25 € per person, per class

- 4 classes: 80 € per person, discounted

- 6 classes: 110 € per person, discounted

- 4 classes + milonga: 90€ (member price)

- Full Pass: 120€ including 6 workshops + milonga (members)
