Saturday 2.5.

El Cachivache from Buenos Aires is one of the most popular tango orchestras in present times. The band plays traditional tango with an energetic, modern and even humorous touch and their music is often described as 'Tango Punk'. Line-up: Vito Venturino (guitar), Andy Ferrari (piano), Adriano de Vita (bandoneon), Pacha Mendes (contrabass). On this European tour the band is accompanied with vocalist Gianinga Druta.

TANGO DEL NORTE

Sunday 3.5.

The Finnish trio is celebrating their 15 years of existence with a tour in their original composition: Heikki Hämäläinen (cello), Sami Pirttilahti (bandoneon) and Ville Westergård (piano).

The one-hour-long concert is built around Argentinian tango music. There are both new arrangements and old familiar Argentine & Finnish tango classics and even music of Astor Piazzolla. Tango del Norte will also play a few danceable tandas in the milonga, after the concert.

The concert starts at 17, PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME!

The "Tango Punk" energy of El Cachivache requires more than just basic patterns. In this workshop, we will break your usual habits and provide tools to connect with the rhythm, speed, and attitude characteristic of this orchestra.
